Introduction to Watercolor
In this four week course, explore the fundamentals of watercolor painting. We begin with an overview of
the supplies and materials unique to this medium. You will learn how to mix and blend colors using basic
color theory and investigate various techniques of applying pigments. Through demonstrations and handson
application, you will develop skills in creating flat and gradient washes, working wet-on-wet, drybrush
techniques, masking, generating texture and much more.
